Underwater Cenote Trash The Dress
Lauren and Brian
The Underwater Cenote Trash The Dress that we arranged for Lauren and Brian, right after their destination wedding in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, can be considered as the starting point of their honeymoon.
And it was a great way to start their long journey around the world, the first as a married couple.
We all know how honeymoons are something unique. You live in a moment of grace; you are full of expectations and rightly convinced that you have chosen the only person in the world with whom it is worth spending your entire life. What more could you ask for?

As for us, meeting Lauren and Brian was a real pleasure. And so we ended up following their journey around the world through their posts on Instagram.
Staying in touch with our couples or models is in fact a very normal thing, even many years after having met them.
Because if it is true that at the beginning they are “only” customers, at the end of the shooting, we say goodbye as if we were old friends.
This happens for several reasons. First of all because, the wedding day or that of Trash The Dress is always preceded by weeks, sometimes months, of correspondence, which is already a way of getting to know each other, of sharing ideas (not only photographic) on an event of great importance. And then because on the day of the shooting, especially during an underwater photoshoot, you end up literally standing next to each other.

One of the main advantages of Trash The Dress compared to the wedding day is the feeling of tranquillity on the part of the couple. If you think about it, this is quite normal. The wedding day, at least until the ceremony, is characterized by a certain amount of stress, since there is always a certain fear (but also the definite possibility) that some logistical details will not go as smoothly as planned.
Instead, during Trash The Dress, couples are perfectly relaxed, as you can see from the photos.

Cenote Trash The Dress
This Underwater Cenote Trash The Dress was held in a private cenote located halfway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
It is an area rich in cenotes. Some are perfect for swimming, some for diving, and some for photography.
In this case, it is a very small cenote and so shallow that you can stand up most of the time, which is one of the reasons why we recommend it if you are not that comfortable in the water.
The vegetation all around the entrance is simply amazing. There are plants with emerald green leaves, trees with tortuous and twisted roots that sink into the ground below, and occasionally even orchids.
This cenote is like a semi-cave open along one side, and only the entrance receives sunlight, even if filtered by the surrounding vegetation. The rocks would therefore tend to develop a minimum of vegetation. Fortunately, the owners of this corner of paradise brush them periodically, so that the water is always very transparent and the bottom is clean. There are also some nice little fishes, especially guppies and catfish, who seem to love being photographed.
After all, cenotes are like huge freshwater aquariums. But unlike aquariums, the water exchange is constant, and this improves its transparency.
One might think that such a place is located in the middle of the forest, very far from any human settlement, in the middle of nowhere. It is located instead no more than 150 meters from the Playa del Carmen-Tulum national road. However, believe it or not, you can’t hear the traffic.
The advantage of this private cenote over a public one is mainly privacy, which also makes it perfect for nude art photography.
