Unico Wedding
Ashley discovered Sebi Messina Photography in a wedding-related Facebook group. She had stumbled upon some of our Underwater Trash The Dress posts, we regularly upload a couple of times per week.
When she contacted us, she did not even mention she was getting married. She simply said to be interested in joining the Underwater Trash The Dress experience since she had fallen in love with our UW photography. This is a fairly common scenario, many brides find us for our Underwater photoshoots in cenotes, then they realize we happily cover weddings as well, finishing hiring us for both.
That’s what happened to Ashley and Christopher. Although they were originally more oriented to have their wedding covered by the onsite company at the Unico hotel. However, in spite of the not properly cheap vendor fee, they would have been charged with if choosing an external company, they watched our wedding portfolio and decided to have us covering their Big Day. Yeah!!!
On our side, we knew already the Unico, which is an awesome venue for weddings, for having worked there already. Although, the first time we were there, it was for covering an important event organized by Clinique when we shot ten top Instagram influencers, obviously underwater… But this is another story.
Let’s go back to Ashley for a moment. She was for sure one of our most beautiful brides. And we really enjoyed portraying her both during the wedding as well as during the Underwater Trash The Dress we arranged two days later.
A further added value of this wedding, being Sebi Messina Photography an Italian Studio, was that both the bride’s and the groom’s family were of Italian origin. And although most of them spoke very little Italian, they could easily understand some basic conversation. Therefore, on a few occasions, we decided to give some hints (e.g. during the group shots) just in Italian. How much fun we had… !
