Wedding Westin Cancun – The Westin Resort & Spa, Cancun
Sometimes totally unexpected events change the course of our life. We wake up in the morning of a seemingly ordinary day, legitimately convinced that today will be like yesterday and like tomorrow. And there is nothing rational that would let us think otherwise.
Instead, on the wrong day and time, unpredictable coincidences lead us to a specific place, a usual place where we could have been a thousand more times. And life changes. And it changes so much that it almost takes away the will to live.
Let’s take a few steps back.
Well in advance of the wedding day, we send a questionnaire asking to know as many details as possible about the couple, their families, their traditions and so on.
Some of this information may already be known due to the close correspondence we have exchanged since the beginning.
But the questionnaire is a kind of summary of all sorts of details, some seemingly insignificant, others perhaps crucial for everything to run smoothly on the Big Day.
And so you end up being made aware of personal details, sometimes even intimate ones, of people and families that you have not met before and that you will probably never see again.
Obviously, we are not here to tell the private life of brides, grooms or their families.
However, we want to underline that this was a truly special wedding. Even for us, as photographers. And it was an honour to witness the love between Aimee and Roger and that between Aimee and her mother.
